Hi Friends!

Today i want to start a build log of my new Twin-Star 2!

I hope you´ll enjoy...

Let´s start!

It began with connecting the ESC and AHM 23-10 TS brusless motor.

Here you can see both motors with the two 20A ESC´s.

To drive two motors with one LiPo you´ll need a y-cable.

In this photo you can see both brusless motors connected with the diy-y-cable.

After this i remove the think shrink tube of the ESC and replaced them with a more thinner shrink tube to get better heat dissipation.

Hi!

Let´s continue...

To get lower interferences and higher rc range I put some ferrit toroids around the BEC wires.

After this, I made some shrink tube around my Hitec HS-81 servos. In case of a servo damage I can change the glued in servo only by cutting the shrink tube.

Hello!

After preparing the servos I sticked in the elevator and the rudder snake sleeves with Multiplex Zacki instant glue into the fuselage.

Now you can stick in the wing retainer screw plates only into one of the fuselage half. The 2 canopy-lock latch tongue you have to glue into both fuselage sides!

If you have done this you can stick in the fitting horns into the rudder, elevater and the two ailerons.

Hello!

A few days ago i replaced the antenna of ImmersionRC 10mw tx:

Yesterday I prepared my new Twin-Star for the trunk/cargo-space
I´ve cutted all foam away and sticked in the modul box. Here you can see the final result:

In this picture you can see the sticked in Hitec HS-81 servos.

After cutting away the foam around the engine nacelles I glued in the motor mounts with instant glue. Then I screwed the special motor frame for AHM 23-10 motors into the mounts.

Looking good. I'm now building my 1st TS 2 and I'm following the steps listed in the manual. I did remove the some foam under the 2nd wing screw plate, which served no structural support role but opened up a lot of space. I think I will place the RX in that compartment to get it far away from VTX. I think I will also modify the original motor mounts to fit my out runners.
Nice and clean build Grandcaravan! Hope to see some videos when your done with it Big Grin
Thank you David for your comment!
Sure I will show you nice videos, but I need more time Big Grin

I hope to continue this weekend!

Yay heiko, looking good!

i cant wait to see the rest of it, your solder skills are better than mine Tongue
Hey friends!

Yeah, let´s continue Smile

I screwed the AMH 23-10 TS brushless motor behind the motor frame and attached the 20A esc with velcro tape into the engine nacelle.

Ok, I "soldered" a channel for motor and servo wires into the foam, because the stock channel is to tight.

Then I glued in the esc servo wire into this channel followed by motor wires with instant glue.

Here you can see one of my 4 Hitec HS-81 servos coated with shrink tube and sticked in with epoxy. So I can change a damaged servo easily Wink

The finished result before sticking in the last foam piece of the wing.

And here the final result, its very suitable!

I am going to continue this build log later!
Please stay tuned!

Best regards
Heiko
Heiko, have you glued in the wing covers hiding the servo and motor wires yet?

If not twist them servo wires! Big Grin

lookging good i like your motor mounts!
