This is where my build is currently at.
I am undecided on how i will put my RX. I want it as far away from the front as possible,(so it will interfere less with my FPV gear) but I want to have access to it.
I saw a build on a site (i cant find it again) that the E* owner cut threw the bottom and built a bay with magnets which him access to the bottom.
If I glue it how can i possible have access to it later on? I cant.
And I actually realized in the photo the RX + antenna were not perpendicular to each other which they should be.
What do most of you do?
Any recommendations?
update!
no one replied! so i took the plunge.
I cut doors on the bottom of the fuselage (i still have not glued the 2 halves yet)
and I added 4 earth magnets to each "box" 2 on the cut door , 2 on the plane for a total of 8.
I don't know the size of the magnets but its the same one used on the wings.
I will have full access from the canopy to the 1st bay and enough room to run any cables necessary for the RX!!! which creates more room and distance from the front of the plane which will hold the Vid TX.
I have access to the back bay from the 1st bay as well to run more cables for Gyros or w/e the case is.

My update for today is short. Unfortunately I was unable to make any progress on the plane today.
After I left work I stopped by a local hobby shop bought a few needed parts you can see below. Nylon Hinges, T-Style control horns for the ailerons and bought the pushrods made for another RC aircraft which I will modify for my ailerons. I also bought Odds + ends and a clean cut of balsa wood for my soon to be built rudder and anything else I might need! These were the best parts I could get for my task at my local hobby shop and I checked two shops which were within walking distance of each other. The 1st was mostly RC cars.
I then went to HomeDepot (massive hardware store) and bought a back board and the accessories to hang all my tools and RC items.
Then I had dinner at a restaurant with my family celebrating my mothers birthday!
Finally came home finished the build on my wall and here is the result.
Tomorrow is Friday for me! So I am EXCITED to have MY weekend (wed/thu) to work on it =)

Great workshop! Looks super

Can“t wait for more of your build log!
Happy Friday!
I have decided to not cut ailerons into the wings just yet. I have the servos installed which I will remove to save weight unless I decide to put ailerons later on.
I read some forums and figured a larger rudder would be more beneficial for FPV flying without having ailerons but others might argue other wise. I still have the option.
I have created my rudder out of a balsa wood. Original block 2'x3'x3mm.
I used this link as a design reference.
It was cut & carved with a hobby knife and sanded with 320(extra fine) grit and finished with 100 (Medium) grit sand paper for a smooth surface!
Paint will be sprayed later to night on the smaller "test" rudder.
Began with cutting 6" off then split it
almost down the middle.
