Hi

I am continuing to run an RC car for the land speed record and need to now use an FPV system as the distances involved dont allow me to see the car some of the time during the run.

What would be the best system to use so I can control the car from about 1-2 miles?

Thanks
i think it will not be possible to control your car fore about 1-2miles. you'll need a verry strong transmitter to reach this range on ground. i did some test drives with a 200mw tx and i just get 200m. you you'll need a 5-10W tx. and also the RC TX must be verry strong!!!
I saw a video from Wobby, some weeks ago, but don't have a link for you Sad
At the moment I am using the Futaba 2.4 ghz FASST system with 100 mw Tx. I get 1/2 mile range as long as I am 10ft above the ground.

I have already modified a normal spektrum 2.4 ghz system with an external 1000mw amp and got over 3 miles of range

What I need to find is the video and audio TX and RX system I need to be able to view out of the car. What system will give me 2 miles video and audio?

Cheers
Looks like this sytem will do the job.
