Space saved for the build and review's . Can't wait to put my FPV system on it . So , I have my next project !!!!
Ordered one, too! It is still on "back order", not shipped after 9 days Sad
Cool to see yo ordered one too . Now to just get them ..
yeeehaaa! My X330 is being shipped!
That gaui 330x seems to use the same 3 axis gyro the gaui 200 v2 FES flybarless heli uses and that gyro has a lot of bad feedback on rcgroups. A lot of people buy/replace it with the gyrobot 600 3 axis gyro instead. Note that the gyrobot 600 is expensive!

The gyro in the 330x is NOT the same as the GU365, its a GU344. I'm not saying the GU344 is going to be great, but you can't replace it with a Flybarless control system. A 3 axis stability system for a heli would probably work for a tri-copter, but not a quad. I've been looking at this control system to build my own quad... http://aeroquad.com/

Oh, and nothing against the gyrobot, but there are many more choices. the Mikado V-bar is the original and works exceptional. The Skookum SK720 integrates 3 axis gyros and 3 axis accelerometers and offers a attitude hold mode, and the Helicommand 3a, 3D and Rigid (flybarless) work very VERY well for heli FPV... just FYI Wink
I dunno, it doesn't look that great to me, here's a vid I found with a google search... Looks pretty bouncy!

Here's another one. note- this is a factory video, I doubt its going to get any better than this (stability wise). They should work on their FPV gear a bit Wink

I dunno, maybe I'm just hard to please, but the Tri-copter vids I've seen look far superior...

I dont know anything about quad copters so youre better suited to making youre own decision but I just thought I'd give it a mention, if it does use the same gyro (which it probly doesnt) it should be a word of warning, if not an idea on gaui's success with these kind of gyros in the past and I mentioned the gyrobot 600 because thats what most people found to be the best option in terms of the 200 anyway, I couldent find any posts of the stock 3 axis gyro working well for anyone.
Thanks for your explanations, Aaron!

Have a look at this video:
oh, the GU365 works, it may not be perfect (no piro compensation, gets out of phase in fast pirouetting maneuvers) but it works pretty well!

I don't mean its the best option by any means, but it certainly works. If it were a micro heli for 3D, the choice now is probably the Mini Vbar hands down... for FPV, I think the SK 720 is going to be the best choice with the IMU controlled attitude hold mode, but for a quad, none of these will work!
Is it possible to change the built in gyros? What do you think?
In the video you can see that the X330 is very stable. I am going to use the quadrocopter for my business trips, Aerial Photography and FPV Big Grin
