Hi to fpv community members..

I planning to build my build own glider with the camera. My coceptional design is like easystar glider. It is for my final year project. Currently i am a mechatronics student and no idea how to build rc plane. The infomations i got from web is not complete. So do u guys have any website or books to help me to build a rc plane start from calculation, concepts and etc..

http://howtomakercairplanes.com/ are selling a book...anyone have purchase it and found useful?

Thanks
Hi There, we get folks coming through here asking about educational projects fairly often, I think it would be great if there was a section devoted to education projects. (I bet Heiko would just love another project Wink )

Have you checked out RCEXplorer's website? I highly recommend it and it might provide you with some ideas for your setup. I wish I could provide some insight as well but I'm pretty new to FPV and don't build a lot of planes from scratch.

There are a TON of glider airfoils available on the web that you would be able to convert to foam cut wings or maybe build up. Find one that suits your needs. The plane will be the easy part. Find a reasonable lift-weight ratio, calculate the weight of your plane vs the power system(motor, battery, etc) + the FPV system and get a result that will be in the 'glider' range and not the 'rock dropped from 1000 feet' range for your wing loading Wink
