Thanks for your feedback regarding the
FPV-Video of the month contest!
To make the competition much fairer, we want to switch between HD and SD quality videos in a 1-month-interval.
This means 1 month only HD videos are allowend, the next only videos in SD quality. This would be much fairer for all.
But before implementing this new cycle/guideline, we want to have your opinion

It's good idea, but I would recommend not only mention the resolution of video, because it's no problem to make SD video from HD record... I think the SD records should be made from FPV camera and recorded on the ground, including all the interferences (may be cut, of course) to bring the true record of "what FPV pilot can see"...
PS: Don't be to lucky, fellas, Trappy has got two cameras :-D

i would say videos recorded on the ground and videos recorded by keycam (with data and time).

I would say, No.
Keycam recorded videos are not the pilots view.
so only ground recorded FPV videos should be allowed in the SD competition.

James has a point there . I think all this will do is hurt the people that don't have a HD camera because like James said one can make SD video from HD record but you can not make HD with a SD camera .
Now do we need to re-think this ?

I think it should be fine if one wanted to use the video from thier HD camera, if it was transmitted through thier video link. At present, we cannot transmit HD video on our planes. So this should still be an accurate representation of what the pilot sees (if he/she is using a gopro's video out to fly with).
So, in short, SD competition must be recorded FROM THE GROUND. No other restrictions. Does that sound ok?
So... If we do this, will it be an SD competition first, or HD?
Maybe it should depend on whether an HD vid wins this month or not... Im thinking HD will take the cake once again
